A key Plan for the Treatment of Volatile Organic Compounds in 2020 Was Released

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment has recently issued a plan to tackle volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in 2020. After July 1, the law enforcement action will be carried out in accordance with the model of "two random, one open", and enterprises that fail to meet the emission standards or the requirements of unorganized control will be punished in accordance with the law and regulations.

Different time periods are given to clear tasks for VOCs governance in the summer (June to September) nationwide.

Among them, July 15 is a critical time point, many tasks need to be completed before this.

According to the newly released solution, by July 15, packaging containers containing VOCs materials, WASTE materials containing VOCs (slag, liquid) and waste adsorbents should be sealed by means of sealing and sealing. They should be properly stored and not discarded at will. They should be disposed of by qualified units.

Each province shall report to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment the overhaul plan and adjustment of enterprises in the petrochemical, chemical and coal chemical industries in 2020.

Organize enterprises to carry out self-inspection on the existing VOCs exhaust gas collection rate, management facilities synchronous operation rate and removal rate.

According to the characteristics of local industrial structure and SOURCES of VOCs emissions, cities shall determine the key local VOCs control industries, organize and complete the investigation of VOCs industrial parks, enterprise clusters and key controlled enterprises, identify the main production links of VOCs, and establish the management ledger one by one.

The oil and gas volume fraction concentration discharged from any leakage point should not exceed 0.05%.
