Russia plans to build a new China gas pipeline

 Due to the need of technical maintenance, the second and third production lines of the "Yamal LNG Project ", which has been built by China, Russia and France and other countries, will be alternately suspended from May 21 to June 15 for a period of 12 days of technical maintenance. A total of 4 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be supplied to China a year after the completion of the project, which greatly guaranteed China's natural gas demand.

However, despite the sudden announcement that the Sino-Russian gas project will be shut down alternately, there are two production lines in operation for each production line technical maintenance. But Russia is still planning to build a new pipeline to export gas to China.

According to the russian satellite news agency on the evening of may 18, the president of the russian gas industry company (russian gas) said the company has started the "siberian power-2" pipeline survey and design work, but also on the basis of the pipeline, re-planning a new transit mongolia, transport capacity of up to 50 billion cubic meters of new export channels to china.

The plan for a new gas pipeline to china by siberian power-2 will further increase the efficiency and scale of russian gas exports to china. According to the original plan, the "siberian power" after the completion of the pipeline will pass the total annual natural gas scale of 38 billion cubic meters. And the increase in the siberian power-2 and the new pipeline is likely to double.
