J-Type Circulation Swivel

The Sharp Razor J-Type circulation swivel is normally used to locate at a known point, such as a liner top, to address applications requiring circulation through the mid string. It is specially designed for multiple high-volume circulation operations in displacement and wellbore cleanup jobs.

The J-Type circulation swivel is a mechanically set tool with unlimited operation cycles. In the closed position, it allows fluid flow and torque to be fully transmitted through the tool. Right- hand rotation while applying set-down weight moves the J-Type circulation swivel to the open position, which allows for high-volume circulation through its ports and acts as a swivel to keep the tool below from rotating. Straight set-down position without right-hand rotation allows the weight to be transmitted to the tool below so that a packer or other tools can be set below.
