Opec: Energy Demand To Grow By A Auarter in 2045
The Organization of The Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) released its 2020 World Oil Outlook on October 8 local time, predicting that global primary energy demand will continue to grow in the medium to long term, rising by about a quarter by 2045, despite the sharp drop in oil demand caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Oil demand is expected to reach 94.4 million barrels a day by 2025, an increase of 3.4 million barrels a day from 2019. Oil in the aviation sector, which has been relatively affected by the epidemic, is expected to partially recover in 2021 and continue to grow thereafter, the report said.
