China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) has held a seminar on hydrogen energy development strategy in Beijing, according to the company's official website on July 27.
At present, Sinopec produces more than 3 million tons of hydrogen annually, accounting for about 14 percent of the country's hydrogen production. The company has rich experience in hydrogen production and utilization, has established the world's second largest transportation and energy infrastructure network, with more than 30,000 gas stations. The company has already built several oil-hydrogen co-construction demonstration stations, with natural advantages and practical operation experience in the layout of hydrogen station network. To strengthen cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy and accelerate the establishment of hydrogen energy companies, we have taken firm actions to build hydrogen energy industry chain and economic ecosystem.
China petrochemical group chairman, party secretary Zhang Yuzhuo stressed that Sinopec will continue to increase investment in the hydrogen areas. In order to ensure the 2022 Beijing Olympics, the hydrogen supply an important node, and strive to form a certain scale during the "difference" of high purity hydrogen production, several high-speed hydrogen corridor layout, build the hydrogen production chain autonomous core technology and key material system and standard system, leading the hydrogen power industry in China high quality development, ensuring our energy security.
