International oil prices fell sharply Tuesday

 
New York, July 9 (Xinhua) -- International oil prices fell sharply Tuesday.
 
Light crude for August delivery fell $1.28, or 3.13%, to $39.62 a barrel by the end of the day on the New York Mercantile Exchange. London Brent crude for September delivery fell 94 cents, or 2.17%, to settle at $42.35 a barrel.
