U. S. crude inventories fell 7.2 million barrels
According to the U.S. energy information agency (USEnergyInformationAdministration), according to data from the week ended June 26, U.S. crude oil inventories (not including strategic petroleum reserve (SPR) fell 7.2 million barrels the week before.
V. S. crude inventories stand at 533.5 million barrels, 15% above the five-year average for the same period, according to the EIA. Inventories of motor vehicle petrol rose by 1.2m barrels, 10 per cent over the same period in five years. Inventories of finished petrol products fell last week and distillate stocks fell by 600,000 barrels, 28 per cent above their five-year average. Propylene stocks rose by 3.3m barrels last week, 7 per cent above the five-year average for the same period.
U. S. refineries averaged 14 million BPD in the week ended June 26, up about 193,000 BPD from the previous week's average. The refinery is operating at 75.5% capacity. Gasoline production increased to an average of 8.9 million b/d. Distillate production increased to an average of 4.6 million BPD.
V. S. crude oil imports were 6 million barrels a day, down 600,000 barrels a day from the previous week. Crude oil imports over the past four weeks were 6.5m barrels a day, down 11.3 per cent from the same period last year. Imports of motor gasoline are 1 million barrels a day. Distillate imports were 135,000 barrels a day.
