Schlumberger launches real-time oil and gas data management service

Sinopec News, July 02, 2020 According to world Petroleum on June 29, Schlumberger has launched the PerformanceLive digital connectivity service, which optimizes the performance site operational control while improving safety, efficiency and expanding the survey area. The service includes technology and expertise in a digital ecosystem that leverages cloud computing applications and automated data workflows through secure and reliable data networks.

The Performance Celive service provides customers with instant access to data and collaboration with field experts to make faster and more informed decisions for directional drilling, logging, formation testing, and other oil and gas operations. An automated "end-to-end" workflow simplifies eliminating redundancy and providing consistent services. In addition, the service increases operational security, reduces the number of trips and the need for on-site personnel, and reduces the carbon footprint.

HindaGharbi, Executive vice President of Services and Devices at Schlumberger, said, "The Performance Celive service transforms the customer experience and achieves a higher level of operational control. Downhole technology can make data available to decision makers in real time, without the need for decision makers to be in the field."

The Performance Celive service is used for more than 60 percent of Schlumberger's drilling operations worldwide and covers more than 18,000 drills by 2019. In cable operations, the Performance Celive service covered more than 12,000 drilling operations worldwide through 2019, including integrity assessments for more than 230 reservoirs and Wells off Norway.
