International oil prices fell on Monday to close at $40.37 a barrel in New York

 
New York, June 23 (Xinhua) -- International oil prices fell on Monday.
 
Light crude for August delivery fell 36 cents, or 0.88%, to settle at $40.37 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. London Brent crude for August delivery fell 45 cents, or 1.04 per cent, to settle at $42.63 a barrel.
