International oil prices rose significantly to close at $36.81 a barrel in New York

 
New York, June 2 (Xinhua) --Oil prices rose Tuesday in anticipation that Opec and non-OPEC producers will extend their current production cuts at a ministerial meeting.
 
Light crude for July delivery rose $1.37, or 3.87%, to settle at $36.81 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange by the end of the day. London Brent crude for August delivery rose $1.25, or 3.26%, to settle at $39.57 a barrel.
